Stories (not really)
This is a 30 year anniversary exhibition at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. To say that Patricia Bellan-Gillen is cut from the Edinboro cloth conjures visions of the ubiquitous tartan so prevalent in the schools corporate image. The reality though isthat this proverbial cloth is a much richer and varied patchwork of artists and educators who now populate academia and arts communities in Northwestern Pennsylvania and throughout the United States. Patricia's graduation from Edinboro where she received both a BS in Art Education and a BFA in Printmaking. Now, as the Dorothy L. Stubnitz Professor of Art at Carnegie Mellon University she has gone on to become what we would certainly categorize as a "distinguished alumna." She has exhibited widely in national and international venues and received many teaching and artistic awards. John Bavaro Director, Bruce Gallery of Art
